Only 12 days until I leave! Columbus has been really nice in the summer; it will *almost* be hard to leave these long, relaxing summer days for a hectic life of classes and traveling in Europe.
I'm especially excited today because it's almost certain that I will be going to Germany the last three days of July! My friend Luisa, an Erasmus student whom I met when living in Salamanca, invited me to visit her in Fulda, Germany (near Frankfurt). I still need to confirm some details, but it looks like I'll be able to make it to Germany for 2.5 days. I was worried for a while because the flights I was finding were either really expensive, or at really inconvenient times, but I finally found one through Air Iberia (one of Spain's national airlines) that was moderately priced and worked timewise.
I'm looking forward to practicing my not-so-good German and getting to see Germany from the insider's point of view. I have been to Germany twice before, but never with an actual German to hang out with, and never to Fulda/Frankfurt. It should be a good time, and hopefully a little break from all the patatas and cerdo I'll be eating in Spain.
Speaking of Spain, I got my living assignment: a dorm near the Plaza Mayor. You can check it out (and practice your Spanish) at: http://www.residenciahelmantica.es/index_isidro.htm
Now let's hope I don't jinx Germany by writing about it before I've officially bought the tickets...
Tschüss!

It's Summer!

I can't believe it's already the summer! This year has flown by. I also can't believe that in only 21 days, I will be leaving for Spain. I will be in Spain from July 1st until July 31st doing a graduate program in Spanish through the University of Massachusetts (another UofM besides Michigan!), and after that I will be traveling through southern Spain to Morrocco, and returning to the United States on August 14. This will be my place to write about my travels for those of you who would like to hear about them.
For now though, I have some pictures to share from our last day of school in Reynoldsburg. Here are my wonderful classes:
